TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - What It IsTabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker. That last detail is relevant. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than someone with no brokerage experience. The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook. What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.PlatformsThey offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That would round things out once it is live.CostsThree tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.Execution SpeedThis is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.SafetyThis is the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform your decision. The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities. The BonusTabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.Everything in one place, with all tabtrade the details more info before you open an account, is at Trade The Day.
